Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TubeMentor AI collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, apps, and services in the United States. Effective date: June 25, 2026.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, role (learner or creator), profile photo.
  • Creator content: videos, audio, transcripts, PDFs, notes, links, voice samples you upload to train your AI mentor.
  • Chat data: text and voice messages exchanged with AI mentors, plus generated responses.
  • Subscription and billing data: handled by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor; we receive the last four digits, card brand, billing ZIP, and transaction status only.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, and crash logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: strictly necessary, analytics, and preference cookies; see Section 7.

2. How we use information

  • Operate, secure, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, and impersonation
  • Train the specific AI mentor a creator authorizes (not other creators' mentors)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, security alerts)
  • Send product updates and marketing — only with your opt-in, with one-click unsubscribe
  • Comply with US federal and state law, lawful requests, and our Terms

3. Legal bases and AI processing

We process data to perform our contract with you, with your consent (for voice cloning, marketing emails, and optional features), to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests in operating a safe service. AI mentor responses are generated by third-party large-language-model providers under contracts that prohibit using your data to train their general foundation models.

4. How we share information

  • Service providers (subprocessors): cloud hosting, database, storage, email delivery, analytics, customer support, payment processing, and AI inference providers — all under written data-protection agreements.
  • Creators: if you subscribe to a mentor, the creator sees aggregate usage and chat content related to their mentor, never your password or payment details.
  • Legal and safety: to comply with law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, property, and safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you.

5. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute purposes. Chat history is retained until you delete it or close your account. Creator-uploaded content is retained until the creator removes it. Payment records are retained for at least 7 years to meet US tax requirements.

6. Your privacy rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data in-app or by emailing tubementorsupport@gmail.com. We respond within 45 days.

California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, limit use of sensitive personal information, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise rights, email us with “California Privacy Request” in the subject. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Other US state laws (VA, CO, CT, UT, TX, OR, MT, IA, DE, NJ, NH, MN, MD, RI, and others):residents have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling. Use the same email above; specify your state.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security, analytics cookies (in aggregate, IP-anonymized) to understand usage, and preference cookies to remember settings. You can control cookies via your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale/sharing.

8. Children (COPPA)

TubeMentor AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it. Users 13–17 require parental consent.

9. Security

We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, audit logging, and least-privilege access for staff. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users and regulators of a breach as required by applicable state breach-notification laws.

10. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the US, you consent to processing your data in the US.

11. Changes and contact

We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app at least 14 days in advance. Contact: tubementorsupport@gmail.com.
